On our previous blog, we have proudly introduced ParkIt - a digital platform that connects drivers to unused parking spaces.

ParkIt obtains these parking spaces by connecting with property owners, agents or associates that we have built a friendly tie with, whose parking spaces are unutilized or left vacant. We strongly believe that by maximizing the usage of the additional parking spots, we can help drivers rid their parking woes, especially in an attempt to find a carpark in busy buildings; no more fighting others for public parking spaces, no more paying astronomical prices.

So… where can you find ParkIt? Over a span of a mere year, ParkIt has grown astoundingly from 7 total locations to 13 (and counting), supplying more than 2000 parking spaces to our customers. We have expanded the type of parking spaces even, to include both residential parking areas which provide a 24/7 access, indoor & reserved parking space, as well as commercial areas that provide both a season pass and valet parking.

The location where parking problems persist is of buzzing offices/areas, which means that the parking bays at these buildings are either occupied or reserved. This leaves you (myself included) with no other options but to pay for parking tickets at a steep hourly rate or be put in an unceasing waiting line. To curb this, we plant ourselves in residences within brief walking distance to the offices, so working individuals don’t need to spend precious time making rounds in the bay.

The list doesn’t end here, ParkIt will continue to expand our areas of business, even to areas we have no presence in, as long as there’s demand and enquiries.

ParkIt believes that by providing parking spaces at these high-demand locations, we will be able to solve problems such as under-utilized parking spaces, meanwhile, supply carparks to drivers that are in dire need of them. Let’s just get these all answered, shall we? But before that, you should know a little bit about how it all started.

ParkIt is a start-up company that was founded by Kyan Liew, whose passion for entrepreneurship
was ignited during his period of studies in the UK. Upon starting his
full time job in Kuala Lumpur, he noticed that in our community, parking seems to be an everyday struggle because he himself was living the problem.

He then thought, why not make use of the underutilised parking spaces in the residences nearby? Kyan managed to get a parking space from the residence and sold it to his colleague. The RM20 profit proved that there is a model for this business. Within 12 months, we have helped more than a 1,000 people find reliable, affordable, safe and convenient long-term parking space, and made property owners more than 1.5 million in revenue.

No more fighting the early morning traffic to get a daily parking when they each have their own designated parking space.

Now that you’ve gotten a little insight on how it all started, let us tell you how we function!

Our customers are mainly parking space owners and the drivers that need a parking space.

Let’s say if you’re a property agent and your owner wants to rent their parking, you can rent it with us and we’ll manage it for you, end to end. Time and cost associated to collecting the access devices from drivers, finding replacement tenants, and payment collections are all included as value added service under an agreed rental price. Except for the registration part as the parking belongs to you, we basically manage everything so that you get to enjoy passive income without having to worry about anything!

On the other hand, if you’re a driver that is looking for a parking space, all you need to do is provide us with some of your information and we’ll source for a spot nearby to cater to your parking needs. Most of our spaces are indoors and reserved, so you get to save time searching for a parking, while being sheltered from the weather at a convenient distance. All these, just for you!
